Doctor Aanchal says that people often use lemon to get rid of the problem of dandruff. But using lemon in hair can cause scalp irritation and it can reduce scalp oil. Using it for a long time can further weaken the scalp. So, if you have problem of dandruff in your hair, then to control it, use anti-dandruff shampoo with ingredients like ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, selenium sulphide and not lemon.

Is it good to use onion for hair growth?

Use of onion juice is one of the most commonly used home remedies for hair health. On social media, it is advised to use everything from onion juice to its oil for hair growth and reducing hair fall. But in case of normal hair fall or pattern hair loss, onion juice does not play a special role in hair growth. The sulfur present in onion helps in strengthening the sulphide bonds of hair, this claim is also not scientifically proven. If you have the problem of hair fall, it would be better to find out its real cause and treat it.
