Fresh rotis are made in every house in the morning and evening, but often a common complaint of women is that soon after making the rotis, the rotis kept in the casserole become wet and sticky. On the contrary, the rotis on top dry up and become hard like papad. Such rotis neither taste good nor are they completely good for health. A very easy, traditional and accurate home remedy for this problem is going viral on social media. In such a situation, keeping a bowl in the bread box can give you a solution to this problem. Let’s learn grandmother’s remedies (Grandmother’s recipe) About this…
What is the secret of keeping the bowl?
Often, when we take out hot rotis from the pan and keep them directly in a box or casserole, the heat of the rotis creates steam (moisture). This steam hits the inner surface of the can and turns into water droplets and gets deposited at the bottom. Due to this, the bread at the bottom absorbs all the water and becomes sticky and becomes unfit to eat. To avoid this problem, according to content creator Shipra Rai, before keeping the roti, a small bowl should be placed right in the middle of the box.
How does this method work?
When you place a small bowl in the middle of the box, spread a cloth over it and keep the rotis, the rotis get a height. The bread does not directly come in contact with the bottom surface of the box. In such a situation, the water generated by steam remains accumulated at the bottom around the bowl and your bottommost roti remains completely safe and dry.
Proper use of cotton cloth is important
After placing the bowl, do not make the mistake of placing roti directly on it. Shipra Rai tells that after keeping the bowl, it is important to spread a clean, washed and dry cotton or muslin cloth properly in the box. The cotton cloth absorbs the excess steam and moisture released from the rotis. This combination of bowl and cotton cloth maintains the right balance of air inside the container, keeping the rotis fresh for a long time.

Protection from bacteria and fungus
When bread comes in contact with the water collected at the bottom of the container, the risk of bacteria or fungus growing there increases significantly due to constant moisture. Many times the rotis look fine, but they start getting contaminated from within. This indigenous and scientific method of keeping the bowl keeps the rotis dry and safe, due to which they remain completely hygienic, healthy and nutritious to eat for a long time.

Better option than plastic or aluminum foil
Often people keep the rotis wrapped in a plastic bag or aluminum foil to prevent them from becoming hard. But using these things for hot rotis can be harmful for health. In comparison, Shipra Rai’s traditional method maintains the natural moisture of the rotis. Due to the bowl, air passes from the bottom and the cotton cloth controls the moisture, due to which the rotis remain absolutely soft from morning till evening.
