Ingredients to make Rajma Paneer

  • Rajma – 1 cup
  • Paneer – 200 grams
  • Onion paste – 1/3 cup
  • Tomato paste – 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1 tsp
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Kitchen King Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves – 2
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – as per taste

How to make Rajma Paneer

step 1- To make Rajma Paneer, first clean the Rajma and soak it in water overnight. When the kidney beans swell well, put them in a pressure cooker and add 2 cups of water. Add some salt to it, cover the cooker with lid and let it cook for 4-5 whistles. After this turn off the gas. Now take cheese and cut it into square pieces and keep it in a bowl. Heat oil in a pan and add paneer pieces in it and fry them till they become light golden. After this, take it out from the oil and keep it aside.

Step 2- Now add a little more oil to the remaining oil in the pan, add cumin, cinnamon and bay leaves and fry. When cumin starts crackling, add onion paste to it and fry till it turns light brown. After this add ginger-garlic paste and let the mixture cook. After frying for some time, add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric, mix well and after frying for about a minute, add tomato paste to it. Fry this mixture until the gravy starts leaving oil.

Step 3- Now take out the boiled kidney beans from the cooker and add it to the gravy and mix. Add water and salt as per requirement and let the gravy boil. When it comes to a boil, add fried paneer, garam masala and kitchen king masala and mix it with a ladle. Now cover the pan and let the vegetables cook for 8-10 minutes. After this turn off the gas.

Step 4- In this way our delicious Rajma Paneer is ready. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice and roti.
