Ingredients to make Rava Dosa

Rava – 1 cup
Thick curd – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Green chilli paste – 1 tsp
Ginger grated – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 3/4 tsp
Mustard – 1 tsp
Sesame seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – 7-8
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Green chilli – 2
Green Coriander – 2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Salt – as per taste

How to make Rava Dhokla

step 1- To make Rava Dhokla, first put Rava in a vessel. Add curd to it and mix both well. After this, add green chilli paste, grated ginger and salt as per taste to this mixture and mix. Keep in mind that this mixture has to be made into a thick solution.

Step 2- Now keep this solution aside for 30 minutes. After the stipulated time, take the solution and if necessary add a little water and beat it once more.

Step 3- Now add a pinch of baking soda to the solution and mix the batter slowly until the batter becomes foamy. After this, bubbles will appear on the batter. Tap it a couple of times to remove these bubbles.

Step 4- Now put the Dhokla batter in a vessel and steam it for 11 minutes. After this, leave the Dhokla vessel to cool down. When the dhoklas cool down, take them out in a bowl.

Step 5- Now to add tadka to dhokla, put oil in a small vessel and heat it. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and sesame seeds.

Step 6- When the masala starts sizzling, add curry leaves and green chillies cut from the middle. When all the spices start crackling well, pour the tempering on the dhokla and spread it well.

Step 7- Finally, garnish the dhokla with green coriander leaves. Your hot Rava Dhokla is ready to eat with tea. Serve it with green chutney.
