Passengers traveling from KLIA to the city center can use the KLIA Ekspres rail service, which is offering a Sepang Race Train Pass connecting Terminal 2 with KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur’s integrated rail transportation center.
The pass costs RM200 (US$49) and allows F1 spectators to make six trips during the race weekend.
Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 can also take advantage of a free Rapid Kuala Lumpur shuttle service operating from Oct. 2 to 4.
The shuttle runs between Terminal 2, Bandar Baru Enstek and Mitsui Outlet Park every 10 to 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to midnight.
At Terminal 2, passengers can board the shuttle at the Level 1 bus hub, using Bays B1, B2 or B3. The Bandar Baru Enstek stop is at De-Village on Persiaran Millenia 2, while the Mitsui Outlet Park stop is at the park’s bus hub.
Another shuttle service also stops at the airport’s long-term car park in addition to the three locations above.

Travelers can also use Grab, taxis or KLIA limousines, although demand is expected to be high around the circuit, particularly before and after the main race.
Passengers should use designated pick-up and drop-off points and allow extra time for potentially longer waits.
KLIA is relatively close to the Sepang International Circuit, making it convenient for passengers arriving by air. Those staying in Kuala Lumpur can take the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit to KL Sentral and connect to the city’s wider public transport network.
Travelers staying in Kuala Lumpur should also keep an eye on road conditions during the race weekend.
Malaysia’s Immigration Department estimated that the number of foreign visitors could reach 300,000 during the event.
KLIA, the largest in Southeast Asia by land area, served 5.2 million passengers in August, up 3.8% month-on-month, driven by summer travel demand from Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia.
For the first eight months, it handled nearly 42 million passengers.
