Huge collision on Ganga Expressway: Bus collides with truck, 25 passengers injured – panic in hospitals of Sambhal

Sister-in-law. A major road accident took place on Ganga Expressway in the early hours of Monday. A private bus going from Ludhiana to Hardoi collided with a truck moving in front near Sitholi village of Islamnagar area. The collision was so severe that about 20 to 25 people aboard the bus were injured, the condition of some of whom is said to be critical.

The accident happened at around 5.15 in the morning, after which there was chaos and shouting at the spot. People nearby immediately started relief and rescue operations and informed the police. Within a short time, police and ambulance reached the spot.

All the injured were admitted to the Community Health Center (CHC) located at Bahjoi, where after first aid, some seriously injured passengers were referred to the district hospital.

The police have taken possession of both the bus and the truck and started investigation. At present, the cause of the accident is not clearly known, but in the initial investigation, high speed is being considered as the main reason.
