BJP leaders said that disrupting the proceedings of Parliament, alleged violence during protests and activities affecting public order are not in accordance with democratic values. He alleged that such steps harm the dignity of democracy and are contrary to parliamentary traditions.
The state leadership said that in a democracy everyone has the right to register protest, but this should be done within the ambit of the Constitution and law. Party leaders called upon the workers to protest in a peaceful and disciplined manner.
Security arrangements also remained tight during this protest march taken out in Jaipur. Necessary police force was deployed by the administration so that the protest could be conducted peacefully.
BJP said in its statement that it is the responsibility of every political party to maintain respect for democratic institutions, the dignity of Parliament and law and order. The party said that it will continue public awareness campaigns and protest programs to protect democratic values.
This demonstration of Rajasthan BJP remained the center of political activities in the capital Jaipur, where the presence of a large number of workers made it a major political event.
