‘Hugged, kissed…’ Another TCS like scandal came to light in Maharashtra, 1 arrested

After the TCS scandal, another serious case related to sexual exploitation has come to light in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Several women have accused the head of an NGO working for backward children in the society of sexual exploitation. Along with this, allegations of religious pressure, defamation and cyberstalking have also been leveled against the NGO chief. The police have registered an FIR in this matter after receiving the complaint. Officials said that as soon as the case was registered, the main accused Riyaz Fazil was arrested.

 

After the case of sexual exploitation and conversion came to light in TCS unit in Nashik, the agencies immediately became active in this matter. According to a report in Times of India, ATS has also started investigating the background, financial activities and claims of educating children from poor families of the NGO related to this case.

FIR registered under several sections

FIR was registered in this case at around 10 pm on Saturday night. Police have registered a case under several sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) 2023 on the complaint of the woman. Officials said that in the FIR, sections have been added related to insulting dignity, obscene acts, exploitation and hurting religious sentiments as well as harassing people through fraud and social media. The girl who has complained is 23 years old and she has been working as HR Head with this NGO since September 2023.

harassed by calling in the cabin

According to the FIR, after celebrating the woman’s birthday on July 18, 2024, the accused allegedly called her to the cabin in the afternoon in the office itself. The woman has alleged that after calling her in the cabin, the accused forcibly kissed her and said, ‘I do not want to leave you today.’ The woman said that she could not oppose him due to fear of losing her job.

 

The woman said in her complaint that the accused repeatedly tried to hug her. Once he unplugged the CCTV and then tried to hug her. When the victim protested against these actions of the accused, he started misbehaving with her.

Kept an eye through Instagram

The woman has also alleged that the accused used to collect information about her from other people. He had created fake accounts on social media platform Instagram to keep an eye on the NGO’s employees. The woman alleged that she was harassed through Instagram.

also created religious pressure

According to the report of Times of India, the complaint of religious pressure has also been added to the FIR. The victim’s sister had also joined the NGO. She worked on the ground as a project manager. The woman alleges that whenever she went to the ground, she was forced to offer prayers related to a particular religion and wear clothes that covered her entire body. The victim said that the accused used to try to impose religious customs on many employees despite them belonging to other religions.

 

The latest controversy started when the accused called the mother of a former employee and used abusive language. The accused even called her a call girl on the phone. He recorded this conversation and later shared it in the group. When the victims reached the NGO office on April 17, the office was closed, after which they informed the police about the matter. The police have now started investigating this matter. The accused has been arrested and sent to custody till April 23.
