Hyundai is offering benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh on select Creta petrol and Creta N Line variants during August 2026. The headline figure does not apply across the range. Petrol IVT versions receive up to Rs 90,000, the base E petrol gets up to Rs 85,000 and every diesel variant is limited to a much smaller Rs 10,000 benefit.
The Creta, including the N Line, is priced between Rs 10.91 lakh and Rs 19.95 lakh, ex-showroom. The August campaign can include a cash or customer benefit, an exchange or scrappage incentive and additional bonuses for eligible customers. The exact combination varies by variant, location, available stock and the car being exchanged.
That distinction is important because Rs 1 lakh is not necessarily a straight reduction from the invoice. A customer without an eligible car to exchange or scrap may receive much less.
Most Creta petrol variants outside the IVT group, along with the N Line, qualify for total benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh. Hyundai has not published a complete national scheme-by-scheme breakup for every trim, so the dealer quotation must show how much comes as an immediate cash discount and how much depends on exchange, scrappage or upgrade eligibility.
The naturally aspirated petrol range uses a 1.5-litre engine with manual and IVT automatic options. The N Line uses the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and is offered with manual and dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.
The separate Rs 90,000 limit for IVT variants means choosing the convenience of the continuously variable automatic can reduce the maximum advertised benefit by Rs 10,000. The base E petrol has an even lower ceiling of Rs 85,000, despite being the least expensive Creta.
These are maximum combined benefits rather than fixed cash discounts. The actual reduction may be lower if the customer does not qualify for the exchange, scrappage, upgrade, corporate or other customer-specific schemes included in the package.
The Creta’s 1.5-litre diesel variants get benefits of only up to Rs 10,000. That creates a Rs 90,000 gap between the maximum offer on a diesel and the maximum on select petrol versions.
This difference indicates that Hyundai has far less need to support diesel demand through discounts. It also changes the purchase calculation for customers comparing petrol and diesel versions. A diesel may still suit high annual usage because of its fuel economy and stronger low-speed torque, but the initial price gap becomes harder to recover when the petrol carries a much larger offer.
The discount cannot be treated as a permanent price cut. August benefits depend on stock and may differ between dealerships. The model year and manufacturing month of the allotted car also need checking, especially when a dealer offers more than the nationally advertised package.
The larger offer does not follow a weak July. Hyundai dispatched 18,088 Cretas in July 2026, the model’s highest monthly volume during the calendar year. This was a sharp recovery from 7,168 units in June, when a fire at a supplier facility disrupted production.
Hyundai’s total domestic sales also recovered from 39,635 units in June to 54,210 units in July. The Creta therefore returned to normal production and strong wholesale volume before the August scheme was announced.
That makes the Rs 1 lakh offer less likely to be a simple response to collapsing demand. It may instead support a wider mix of petrol variants, help dealerships convert customers comparing newer rivals and keep bookings moving across a large range.
