Famous director and doctor Vishal Chaturvedi, who created history at the box office in the Indian cinema world with his blockbuster film 'Hanuman Ansh', is in the news these days for his film as well as a very miraculous and interesting memoir related to his life. Behind the success of this film based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba, there is a personal incident which forced a doctor to become a filmmaker. Recently, during a special conversation, director Vishal Chaturvedi recalled the incident that took place in the mountains of Uttarakhand, when amidst torrential rains, the gate of his car suddenly opened in front of the main gate of the famous 'Kainchi Dham'. He told that that moment was the biggest turning point of his life, which he can never forget even today.
Vishal Chaturvedi, who was serving as a doctor before directing the film 'Hanuman Ansh', shared the story of his initial struggles and his connection with spirituality and said that once he had gone out to roam on the hilly roads of Uttarakhand with a friend. During that time suddenly the weather became very bad and due to heavy rain his car started slipping on the road. They were forced to stop their car and decided that they would not proceed further until the rain stopped completely. But the surprising thing was that within a few seconds the rain suddenly stopped and the bright rays of the sun came out from between the clouds. Inspired by that miraculous atmosphere, when he came out of the car and looked around, his eyes were wide open.
That miraculous coincidence at Kainchi Dham changed the entire direction of life.
Recalling that moment, the director said that when he opened the door of the car, its gate was opening exactly towards the main gate of the famous 'Kainchi Dham' of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj. At that time his friend, who was driving, told him in detail about the miracles of Baba Neem Karoli and this holy spiritual land of Uttarakhand. This discussion that took place during his return to Haldwani awakened a deep curiosity and reverence for Baba in the mind of Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi. This was the seed that continued to grow within him and he wrote a book 'Divine Detour: That Changed My Life' based on Baba's spiritual memoirs. Years later, when he stepped into the world of film production, the same old story and Baba's blessings always remained in his heart, which ultimately came true on the big screen in the form of the film 'Hanuman Ansh'.
The risky journey of leaving the safe medical profession and choosing filmmaking
After completing his MBBS degree and setting up his practice as a doctor in hospitals in Haldwani and Mumbai, venturing into the world of film direction was not an easy decision for Vishal Chaturvedi. His family and acquaintances advised him why he was trying his luck in this uncertain and struggling field instead of leading a secure and prestigious life by becoming a doctor. But he had a strong desire to convey the messages of Indian culture, Sanatan Dharma and Baba Neem Karoli to the world through cinema. Ultimately he listened to his heart and completed his ambitious cinematic journey, overcoming all the economic and social risks. Today, the way his film is breaking records and earning at the global box office, it has been proved that his decision was completely right and that miraculous coincidence that happened in the mountains really changed the fate of his entire life.
