spoke from the heart on stage
On April 30, 2026, Diljit Dosanjh performed his show at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. During the performance, he suddenly stopped the song and started talking to the audience in Punjabi.
He said, “I have left this world. I have no fear of death. Last December I was trying to get out of this body. But I still have some more work to do, only after that I will leave this body.”
His statement surprised even the people present there. He further said that he has no enmity towards anyone and he just wants to give place to love, respect and forgiveness in his life.
During his emotional address Diljit Dosanjh said, “This is not just about Punjab, it is and always will be… I am Punjab.”
The audience responded strongly to his statement. This moment is being shared the most on social media.
Fans got upset
This clip first surfaced on Instagram and later went viral on many platforms including Reddit. Many fans expressed concern and wrote that they had no idea that Diljit was under so much pressure. Some people linked it to mental health and said that people should understand the feelings of the artists and not just troll. One user wrote that even at the peak of career, a person can break down from within and this should not be taken lightly.
Protest took place at the concert
Recently Diljit Dosanjh also had to face pro-Khalistani protesters in another concert. Some people raised slogans against him and waved flags.
According to reports, some people were upset with his visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and his not being there during the floods in Punjab.
Responding to this from the stage, he said, “Show as many flags as you want. Wherever I go, I talk about Punjab.” This is not the first time that Diljit Dosanjh has responded candidly from the stage. Even during the Indore concert in 2024, he responded to the critics through a ghazal and expressed his views openly.
