'I started crying…': Why Vijay Deverakonda got angry at Rashmika Mandanna on the sets of 'Geeta Govindam'

From South Cinema to Bollywood, the pairing of popular actress Rashmika Mandanna and superstar Vijay Deverakonda, who has ruled millions of hearts with her cuteness and excellent acting, has always been in the news on-screen and off-screen. Recently, during an interview and podcast, Rashmika, remembering the days of her blockbuster film 'Geetha Govindam', shared such an interesting and shocking incident, which even her fans were surprised to hear. Rashmika told that her first meeting with Vijay Deverakonda on the set during the shooting of the film was not at all what she had imagined, but seeing Vijay's strict attitude on the very first day, she had tears in her eyes. When Vijay had expressed objection to the music being played by Rashmika, at that time Rashmika Mandanna was completely new in the film industry, whereas Vijay Deverakonda had already made a special identity for himself by working in some films. This was the reason why Rashmika used to call him 'Sir' as a mark of respect on the set. But things became interesting and a bit strange when Vijay expressed strong objection to the music being played by Rashmika on the sets on the first day of shooting. While talking on a podcast, Rashmika recalled that moment and said, "I remember well that when I met him for the first time on the set, I used to call him 'Sir' because I was new and he had done 3-4 films by then. On the first day, I was playing some random music on the set and he suddenly came and said, 'Stop that music.' I felt quite strange because of his simple and strict words."

What did Vijay Deverakonda say in his defense? Talking about this entire incident, Vijay Deverakonda himself also expressed his views and admitted that his attitude was a bit blunt. Vijay told that he is a very straight forward person by nature and expresses his views without any artificiality. Vijay clarified, "I assume that the other person will understand my intentions. I think we should talk openly, but sometimes when you don't know someone very well, it was foolish of me to think that she would immediately understand what I was saying. I just said, 'What kind of bad music are you playing?' Since we were not big stars at that time, we had to share the same caravan, half of which was for him and half for me. I shouted because that sound was bothering me." Vijay admitted that at that moment Rashmika felt really bad and had tears in her eyes because she thought that maybe the co-actor did not like her. Sweet and sour beginning in friendship and upcoming films: With time, the initial misunderstandings between the two got resolved. During the shooting of 'Geeta Govindam', Vijay started helping Rashmika in speaking and understanding the dialogues, after which Rashmika stopped calling him 'Sir' and both became close friends. After this, the couple also worked together in the 2019 film 'Dear Comrade' and got married in February this year. Now this popular pair is going to be seen together on the big screen once again in the upcoming period action drama film 'Ranabaali' being directed by director Rahul Sankrityan, which is going to be released on October 16.
