The result was a crushing defeat for the Congress. This time Charanjit Singh Channi and Amarinder Singh Raja Vading are face to face. It is being said about Raja Vading that he has resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President. He has also written himself as former president in the bio of his X account but is not speaking openly on this yet. Now he has said that the High Command knows everything and the decision has to be taken by them. Raja Vading has increased the party's concern by saying that he is going to talk in details in a day or two. It is believed that he is waiting for the party's move. When he came to meet Rahul Gandhi on Friday, he said that whatever is in his heart, he will tell it to Rahul.
Actually, Ludhiana MP Raja Vading came to Delhi on Thursday evening and even before coming, changed his identity on all social media handles. Let us tell you that Punjab Assembly elections are to be held early next year and before that, Congress decided to change the warding amidst the internal strife that has been going on in the state unit for several weeks.

What did Raja Vading say in Delhi?
When Raja Vading, who reached Delhi, was asked a question about the things going on in Punjab, he said, 'I have just come to Delhi. I will let you know when we meet. I can't answer anything right now. I will talk in detail tomorrow or after a day or so. The high command knows about everything. The decision is of the high command. Whatever decision is taken, it will be followed. They have to decide what is right and what is wrong.
Before coming to Delhi, Raja Vading had said, 'If the king is not there today then there will be someone else. Whoever becomes president, I hope he will fight. When asked about the name of the new president, he said, 'It is the jurisdiction of Rahul Gandhi and Congress to decide who will become the president and when. Yes, I know this much that I am not the president. Reacting to the move to remove Raja Vading, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravneet Singh Bittu took a dig at the Congress and wrote on Twitter, 'Rahul Gandhi's 'use and throw' policy.'

Who will become the next state president?
Party sources said that Raja Vading has been removed from the post after the reaction taken from the organization by Punjab in-charge General Secretary Sachin Pilot. Sources said that Sachin Pilot, who was appointed in-charge of Punjab in place of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on September 5, held several rounds of meetings with the party leaders of the state and after that submitted his report to the party high command, so that a decision could be taken on the change in leadership. Sources said that the Congress high command had informed Raja Vading about its decision.
A senior Congress leader said the party had been discussing the leadership issue in the state for the past several days and the decision to replace the Punjab Congress president was taken after this. Congress wants to appoint a leader who can take various factions of the party together before the 2027 assembly elections. Party sources said that former minister Vijay Inder Singla is the frontrunner for this post before the upcoming elections. Apart from Singla, former Olympian and Jalandhar Cantt MLA Pargat Singh, former MLA Rana K.P. Singh, Raja Sansi MLA Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa are also in discussion for the post of state president.
