What are the rules to pass?
As per the prescribed rules of ICAI, it is mandatory to score at least 40 percent marks in each subject to pass the CA Foundation exam. Apart from this, it is also necessary to score 50 percent marks in all subjects taken together. If a candidate does not fulfill even one of these conditions, he/she will not be considered successful in the examination.
The provision of negative marking is also applicable in Paper-3 and Paper-4 of the examination. One-fourth marks are deducted for each wrong answer. This is why candidates should take special care while answering objective questions.
