ICC Fined Bangladesh: ODI series is going on between Bangladesh and New Zealand. The second ODI match was organized at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. After losing the first match, Bangladesh made a great comeback by winning this match but ICC has now taken strict action against them. Bangladesh team made a big mistake during the match and due to this, a heavy fine has been imposed on them.
ICC imposed fine on Bangladesh
ICC Elite Panel match referee Andy Pycroft has fined Bangladesh 10 percent of the match fee. Mehdi Hasan Miraj’s team was behind the scheduled time to finish the over. He fell behind by two overs and as per the rules of ICC Code of Conduct, if a team falls behind by one over before the stipulated time limit, then a fine of 5 percent of the match fee is imposed. Bangladesh team was two overs behind and that is why they were fined 10 percent.
Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hasan admitted his mistake and accepted the penalty. According to the official statement, he will not need any hearing before the ICC in this matter. On-field umpires Richard Illingworth and Ghazi Sohail, third umpire Nitin Menon and fourth umpire Masudur Rahman Mukul took the matter to match referee Andy Pycroft.

Bangladesh got a big win in the second ODI
New Zealand had won the first match of the three-match ODI series. In the second match held in Dhaka, New Zealand batted first and were all out after scoring 198 runs. Nahid Rana took 5 wickets in his name. Nick Kelly played a brilliant inning of 83 runs for New Zealand. In reply, Bangladesh team chased the target of 199 runs in 35.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Tanjid Hasan Tamim scored 76 runs and Nazmul Hussain Shanto scored 50 runs.
