‘If didi had given money…’, confession of the accused in the murder of IRS officer’s daughter in Delhi.
New Delhi: A new and shocking revelation has come to light in the sensational murder case that took place in Kailash Hills area of Delhi. 19-year-old Rahul Meena, accused of murder and rape of the 22-year-old daughter of an IRS officer, has claimed during interrogation that his motive was not to murder, but he had entered the house with the intention of taking money.
The accused said during police interrogation, "If sister had given the money then this would not have happened." This statement has made the whole matter more serious. According to the police, the accused’s behavior remained unusually calm during the investigation and he showed no obvious signs of remorse.
From Alwar to Delhi: Complete story of the incident
Rahul Meena, who had earlier worked as a domestic help in the victim’s family, had to leave the job due to his habits of theft and borrowing.
A day before the incident, he went to a wedding in Alwar, after returning from where he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman and stole her mobile phone.
Fearing that he would be caught, he sold his and his family’s three mobile phones and hired a taxi to reach Delhi.
Entered the house and committed the crime
After reaching Delhi, the accused went straight to his former employer’s house. Being familiar with the structure and routine of the house, he entered inside with the spare key and went straight to the study room.
The victim was studying at that time. The accused said, "Aunty had called from work." After this he asked for money. Upon refusal, there was an argument between the two, which turned into violence.

The accused attacked the victim with a lamp and injured her and strangulated her with a mobile charging cable. After this he raped her while she was unconscious.
The accused then dragged her down the stairs and used his blood stained finger to open the locker, but failed.
Looted cash and jewelery by breaking the locker
When the biometric system did not work, the accused broke the locker with a screwdriver and fled with the cash and jewellery. Before running away he also changed his blood stained clothes.

During his appearance before the Judicial Magistrate, the accused said, "I committed a crime… made a mistake,"
And repeated again and again, "I didn’t want to kill but it happened."

Shocking facts revealed in police investigation
According to police sources, the accused said, "I wanted money at any cost." He also admitted that he knew he would be caught after the theft, but he wanted to send the money to his family.
However, the investigating agencies suspect that the accused’s intention was not only theft but also rape.

Delhi Police is now considering conducting psychological analysis of the accused. In this, his behaviour, mental state and possible reasons behind the crime will be studied.
What came out in the post mortem report
The post-mortem conducted at AIIMS confirmed that the victim died due to strangulation. Several injury marks were found on the body, including bruises, scratches and nasal bone fractures on the hands, legs and face.
Hemorrhage in the neck muscles and fracture in the thyroid cartilage were also found, which pointed towards death due to strangulation. Many samples have been preserved for forensic examination.
