“If the government has the guts, send me to jail,” BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma lashed out at the Sukhu government.

When Himachal Vigilance named Dharamshala BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma in a disproportionate assets case, political tensions escalated. In a sharp tone, the BJP MLA warned, “If the government has the guts, send us to jail. BJP workers will not back down from the fight for people’s rights.”

Sudhir Sharma, during a public protest against the Congress government on Thursday, said that Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers are not afraid of going to jail. If the state government and the Chief Minister believe that filing false cases or sending people to jail can suppress the BJP’s voice, they are making a grave mistake. Every BJP worker will continue to vigorously fight for the rights of the people and the interests of the state.

Government working with a spirit of revenge: Sharma

Sharma further stated that the state government has completely forgotten public interest issues and is engaged in a politics of vengeance. The Chief Minister is attempting to suppress democratic voices by filing false cases against political opponents, while the state is grappling with serious issues such as unemployment, corruption, law and order, and development.

MLA Sudhir Sharma alleged that the Congress government is afraid of the alleged corruption and anti-people actions being exposed and the chargesheets being prepared. This fear is the reason why false cases are being filed against BJP leaders and workers one after another.

‘BJP will neither be afraid nor will it bow down’

In a challenging tone, Sudhir Sharma said, “If the government has the guts, it can send us to jail, but the BJP will neither be intimidated nor bow down. We will continue to fight for the state’s interests and public welfare issues.” He added that this movement is not for any particular individual, but to protect democracy, raise the voice of the people, and oppose the Congress government’s politics of vengeance.
