‘If you don’t want to feed Vaibhav Suryavanshi then tell me…’ the veteran advised the management
Young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was left out first in Ireland and then in the first T20I against England. His international debut is continuously being postponed. Former cricketer Parthiv Patel has advised the team management that if Vaibhav is not to be played then they should tell them clearly. Before the second T20 match against England, Parthiv said that this 15-year-old player will definitely get a chance in the 5-match T20 series at some point and it will be very important for the coaching staff to talk to him.
While talking on JioStar’s ‘Game Plan’ show, Parthiv said, ‘I think that Vaibhav Suryavanshi will definitely get a chance in this series someday but it is very important to talk to him at this stage. If you are part of the coaching staff then you have to talk clearly to the players. If you are not going to feed him, then tell this also. He is only a 15-year-old child, so he has to be treated very carefully and he has to be advised to be patient.

Vaibhav will have to explain this thing
Parthiv also said that many players have performed well, such as number-one T20 batsman Ishan Kishan, T20 World Cup player of the tournament Sanju Samson and world number-2 Abhishek Sharma.
He said, ‘Many players have performed very well. Sanju Samson was the player of the tournament in the T20 World Cup. Ishan Kishan, who is batting at number three, is the number-1 T20 batsman in the ICC rankings, while Abhishek Sharma is at number-2. Right now there is no place for Vaibhav in the playing XI and he will have to explain this well.

Bowling coach defended the management
It is noteworthy that before the second T20 match, Indian team’s bowling coach Morne Morkel had defended the team management’s decision to keep Vaibhav out. He stressed the importance of supporting experienced and in-form players in the current setup. Morkel mentioned Abhishek Sharma’s place as India’s top T20 batsman and Sanju Samson’s role as the player of the tournament in the World Cup.
In the press conference before the match, Morkel said, ‘I think we should respect the fact that we have the number-1 batsman or our number-1 batsman in T20 cricket is Abhishek Sharma. Sanju was the player of the tournament of the World Cup. Morkel acknowledged the excitement among people about glory but also stressed that it is important to give confidence and security to the current group of players.
He said, ‘I think it is right as a coaching staff to show confidence in our players and support them. Yes, there is a young player waiting for his opportunity and that is encouraging but I think it is a good sign not only for those two top players but also for the rest of the group to show them that we have our back.
