Ram temple offering controversy: Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said – feelings of crores of Ram devotees were betrayed, expressed confidence in SIT investigation
Mahoba. National Backward Classes Commission Chairperson Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti termed the controversy related to offerings in the Ram temple of Ayodhya as extremely unfortunate and said that this incident has hurt the sentiments of not only the country but also crores of Ram devotees around the world. He said that the case is being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), hence it would not be appropriate to reach any conclusion before the investigation is completed.
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, who came to attend a charitable trust program in Kabrai town of Mahoba district on Saturday, said that some people have betrayed the faith and trust of crores of devotees. She said that she herself has been a part of the Ram Mandir movement and is very sensitive about this entire issue.
Expressed confidence in the action of Yogi government
Expressing confidence in the working style of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that as soon as the matter came to light, he immediately ordered an SIT investigation and initiated action against the accused. He said that an FIR has been registered against eight people in this case and they have also been sent to jail. After the investigation is completed, the truth will come out and “milk becomes milk, water becomes water”.
‘Conspiracy to defame Ram temple’
He said that some people are questioning the grandeur and divinity of Ram temple, which is completely wrong. According to him, Ram temple has been built after a long struggle of about 500 years and it is a symbol of the faith of crores of devotees. He alleged that a conspiracy has been hatched to defame the temple through the controversy related to offerings and the culprits should be punished as per law.
Refused to comment on Champat Rai and Anil Mishra
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti refused to comment on the question asked regarding Vishva Hindu Parishad General Secretary Champat Rai and Anil Mishra in the matter. He said that until the SIT investigation is completed, it would not be appropriate to comment on any particular person.
