Recently, Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had raised questions on the things written about women in Manusmriti. Now Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath has responded to this. Yogi Adityanath, who reached Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi's parliamentary constituency, on Monday, gave advice and said that if they want to know about Manu, then they should read Atharvaveda, Saptapadi Brahman and Matsya Purana. Responding to Rahul Gandhi, Yogi Adityanath said that does any daughter consider her existence complete without a father, does any sister without a brother, does any wife without her husband and does any mother consider her existence complete without a son? Yogi asked whether Manu Smriti has said this, please tell me what is the right thing?
Rahul Gandhi had said in the 'Students' Echo' program organized in Pune, Maharashtra that it is shameful that women are kept only in the form of daughter, wife or mother. He said that there is no harm in this but this cannot be the only identity of women. Rahul said that these things are written in Manusmriti. Now a debate has started on this very statement of his and in this debate, different parts of Manusmriti are also being mentioned a lot.

CM Yogi lashed out at Rahul Gandhi
Referring to his alleged statement given in Pune regarding Manusmriti, Yogi Adityanath also said that India has no expectations from Rahul Gandhi personally but definitely has expectations from the post of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Yogi Adityanath further said, 'Why do you want to destroy India's heritage, why do you want to play with India's future? The country expected a positive role from you as a responsible leader of the opposition but you ruined those roles. You completely separated yourself from those responsibilities. Amethi and Rae Bareli continued to support this family but this family always posed an identity crisis in front of this region.
CM Yogi Adityanath was addressing the 'Bhav Samarpan Ceremony' organized in Rae Bareli on Monday on the 222nd birth anniversary of 'Awadh Kesari' Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh, the immortal hero of the first freedom struggle of 1857. On this occasion, he inaugurated the newly constructed 'Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh Memorial Auditorium' built at a cost of more than Rs 21 crore, honored the families of freedom fighters and martyrs and also released 'Awadh Kesari Souvenir' and special cover.

CM Yogi replied on Manusmriti
The Chief Minister said that Rahul comments on Manu or Ram or India's heritage. He said, 'If you want to know Manu then read Atharva Veda, Saptapadi Brahman and Matsya Purana, you will get all the information. Who is the person in whose life he does not receive the protection of a woman in the form of a mother or a sister or a wife or a son? Does any daughter consider her existence complete without a father, any sister without a brother, any wife without her husband and any mother consider her existence complete without a son? Has Manu Smriti said this? Can you tell me what is the right thing?

Cornering Rahul Gandhi, he said, 'Why do you want to take the children of India in a direction where any mother or anyone else will have to apologize later in shame?' Referring to the incident of a girl apologizing after the protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, he said that her parents also accepted that their daughter had done wrong. Yogi Adityanath said that a society which forgets its ancestors has no future. He said that unfortunately, by forgetting the traditions and values of India and confusing it, some people have taken up a contract to conspire against India, seeing which he is shocked.
