Addressing a program in Bhawanipur, CM Shubhendu Adhikari expressed strong objection to the incidents that took place in Jadavpur University campus. He gave a clear warning, saying, “We will establish nationalism both inside and outside Jadavpur. I have seen many people crying on social media. I want to say clearly, if you want to live in this state, you will have to sing Vande Mataram.”

The Chief Minister further said that the state government will reinvigorate the culture of patriotism and respect for national symbols inside and outside the campus. He said that there will be no compromise with the ideas of nationalism in educational institutions and the government is fully committed to taking strict steps in this direction.
