New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will confer the highest honours on meritorious students at the 57th convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi on Saturday.
During this, he will also inaugurate Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility established at the Sonipat campus.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Modi will address over three thousand graduating students, including 587 PhD scholars, who will receive degrees during the ceremony.
Additionally, meritorious students will be presented with the Institute’s most prestigious awards, including the President’s Gold Medal, the Director’s Gold Medal, the Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal, and the Perfect Ten Gold Medal.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate ‘Param Pragya’, an artificial intelligence-powered high-performance supercomputing facility set up at the Sonipat campus of IIT Delhi.
This state-of-the-art facility is expected to significantly enhance the institute’s artificial intelligence, data science, advanced computing and interdisciplinary research capabilities.
