A big and relief news has come from the Meteorological Department for North and Central India, which is suffering from the scorching sun and scorching heat. According to the latest bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), today i.e. on Tuesday, June 23, the South-West Monsoon is all set to advance into many new parts of the country.
While giving ‘good news’, the Meteorological Department has said that due to favorable weather conditions, the monsoon has rapidly advanced towards North and Central India. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of torrential rains in the eastern, north-eastern and southern states of the country. However, the plains of North India will have to wait for a few more days to get completely drenched and get complete freedom from the severe heat wave.
Next 48 hours are very important: Monsoon arrives in Mumbai, Bihar and Chhattisgarh
According to meteorologists, monsoon has made good progress over many sedentary areas of central and eastern India on June 22. IMD has issued an alert saying that within the next 48 hours, monsoon will completely cover the following states:

Maharashtra and Mumbai: Monsoon will become active in most parts of entire Maharashtra including metropolitan Mumbai.

Central and Eastern India: Monsoon will reach the parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar which were untouched till now, in the next two days and the period of heavy rains will begin.

South India: The roads have been cleared for the entry of monsoon in the remaining parts of Telangana also.
Alert of storm and lightning in these states this week
According to the IMD report, the weather patterns will remain changed in a large part of the country throughout this week. The department has issued an alert of dust storm and lightning for many states:

The havoc of strong winds: There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Telangana. During this period in these states 40 to 50 kilometers per hour A strong storm can blow at this speed.
