PM Modi Appeal Effect: Supreme Court staff to work from home for 2 days, judges will go to court by car pooling

New Delhi. On Friday, on the appeal of the country’s PM Narendra Modi for fuel saving, the Supreme Court has issued new guidelines regarding working. Now the staff of every department of the court will remain on work from home for two days. All judges will carpool. 50 percent of the staff associated with the registry will also work from home.

Hearing of listed cases on Monday, Friday and Miscellaneous Days (days which are not fixed in advance) will be done only through Video Conferencing. Apart from this, hearing will be conducted online only on other working days of the court.

The court has directed the Registry Department to send the video conferencing link on time and technical support should be available all the time, so that the court proceedings are not affected. Supreme Court Secretary General Bharat Parashar has issued a circular in this regard.
