Imran Khan’s eyesight in danger? Fourth surgery

Islamabad. Former Pakistan Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan underwent another eye surgery at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). According to a hospital spokesperson, he received his fourth intravitreal anti-VEGF injection and was subsequently discharged from the PIMS hospital on Tuesday morning. Khan has been suffering from a serious eye condition for some time.

A hospital spokesperson said that 74-year-old Imran Khan was brought to the hospital for treatment on April 28th. Doctors assessed his condition as stable after examination, and after necessary procedures in the operating theater, he was given his fourth injection. Imran Khan has a condition called Central Retinal Vein Occupation (CRVO) in his right eye, which was diagnosed in late January this year.

Imran Khan received his first injection on January 24th. He received his second dose on February 24th, and his third on March 23rd. Doctors reported that his latest tests showed improvement. The procedure was considered a day-care surgery, after which he was discharged from the hospital with necessary recommendations.
