In France, PM Modi told the vision of India changing from startup to space.

New Delhi: In the ‘Bharat Innovates’ program organized in Nice, France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the changing picture of India and its rapidly increasing innovation capacity in front of the world. He said that today India is no longer just a consumer of technology, but is emerging as an important country developing solutions to global challenges. Addressing the program, the Prime Minister spoke in detail on India-France relations, startup ecosystem and future technologies.

New axis of innovation and entrepreneurship development

The Prime Minister described the ‘Bharat Innovates’ initiative as a strong bridge between India’s talent and Europe’s capital. He said that this platform is working to connect Indian youth, entrepreneurs and innovators with European expertise, investment and global opportunities. According to him, 21st century India is passing through an important phase of change, where innovation and entrepreneurship have become the new axis of development.

Modi said that the startup culture in the country is becoming increasingly strong and the youth are finding solutions to the problems of society and humanity with new thinking. He told that even though more than 100 startups are participating in the program, there are more than two lakh startups active in India. These are not only strengthening the country’s economy, but are also contributing to technological development and employment generation at the global level.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India is no longer just a country using new technologies, but is also playing a leading role in developing and presenting them to the world. He said that technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Biotechnology and Space Science will decide the direction of the world in the coming years and India is progressing rapidly in these areas.

Referring to India-France relations, Modi said that the partnership between the two countries is not limited to just trade or diplomacy. This relationship is based on shared values, mutual trust and common vision for the future. He said that both the countries are committed to working together to find solutions to global challenges and work in the interest of humanity.

Describing ‘Technology for Humanity’ and ‘Human-Centric Innovation’ as India’s priority, the Prime Minister said that the objective of technological development should be human welfare. Linking India’s thinking in the field of artificial intelligence to the concept of “AI for all”, he said that the benefits of technology should reach every section of the society.

At the end of his address, the Prime Minister referred to India’s ancient knowledge tradition and said that innovation has been a part of India’s culture and DNA. India’s contribution in fields like mathematics, medicine, astronomy and yoga has been giving direction to the world for centuries. Today’s India is trying to take the same heritage to new heights through modern technology and innovation.
