In Muzaffarnagar, a Muslim youth roaming with a Hindu girl was surrounded and beaten by the mob, police saved his life.

Muzaffarnagar: The case of assault between a young man and a girl in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh is in the news. The video of this incident that took place in the Zilla Parishad Market is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, some people are seen beating a young man, while the girl present with him is seen trying to save him. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took both of them out safely and took them to the police station. At present the entire matter is being investigated.

How did the dispute start in the market?

According to the information, the young man and the girl were sitting at a refreshment shop. Meanwhile, some people present there started asking questions about the identity of both of them. It is being told that the young man is from Muslim community and the girl is from Hindu community. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed the identity and religion related information of both of them.

First told another name, then controversy increased

According to eyewitnesses, the young man initially gave his name "Ashu Sharma" told. Later a controversy arose regarding his identity. After this, a crowd of people gathered at the spot and started fighting with the young man. In the viral video, the girl is seen continuously trying to save him from the crowd. During this period, allegations of pushing and abusive behavior with her have also come to light.

Police rescued both of them safely

As soon as information about the incident was received, Dial-112 police reached the spot. The police safely rescued the young man and the girl from the crowd and took them to the Civil Lines police station. Police are interrogating both of them and the video and other evidence related to the incident is being examined.

Bajrang Dal worker gave clarification

A person present during the incident, who identified himself as a Bajrang Dal worker, denied any involvement in the fight. He says that he only asked the youth for his identity. He claims that he had no role in the mob attack and it was he who had informed the police.

At present the police is investigating the entire matter. Various claims going viral on social media are also being verified for authenticity and officials have appealed to people to avoid sharing unconfirmed information.
