Kanpur. A special checking campaign was conducted by Kanpur City Police and Traffic Police and action was taken against modified silencers, pressure horns and hooters.
Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar, an intensive vehicle checking campaign was conducted from 27.06.2026 to 28.06.2026 to strengthen the city’s traffic system and to effectively control noise. During this campaign, joint teams of traffic police and local police arrested various prominent people of the city.

Under the campaign, strict action was taken against drivers violating traffic rules and a total of 354 vehicles were challaned.

An appeal has been made to the general public not to make any kind of illegal modification in their vehicles and to ensure safe traffic.
