In the Middle East this ‘water war’, the terrible attack on the water treatment plant in Kuwait, Iran! Dry table?

Iran has become reckless due to continuous US attacks. Tehran has already started attacking American bases scattered in the Middle East. Now they are targeting power and water treatment plants. Iran has been accused of a terrible attack on a water treatment plant in Kuwait on Saturday morning. No casualty was reported in the incident. According to a group of experts, Tehran has started a ‘water war’ in the Middle East by changing its strategy.

The various water treatment plants or ‘desalination plants’ located in the Middle East are the ‘lifeline’ here. They purify the salty sea water and make it drinkable. According to experts, these refineries located in Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait are the main source of drinking water here. About 70 to 90 percent of these countries’ water supply is dependent on these refineries. As a result, if this infrastructure is damaged, a large-scale water crisis can occur in a very short period of time. According to experts, strategically Iran is actually trying to bleed countries dry by hitting these infrastructures. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement after the attack on the Kuwait water refinery. They said that we will respond to those countries that are supporting the American aggression forces, allowing them to use their territory to attack Iran.

Analysts say that Iran’s attack on Kuwait is well-planned to create pressure. Because, a strike on an oil or military base affects the economy, but a strike on a drinking water source directly disrupts the lives of ordinary people. This results in rapid pressure build-up. But the bigger concern is – most of the Middle East countries have limited drinking water supplies. As a result, if a major water treatment plant goes down, the situation can go out of control within days and there is a danger that it will turn into a humanitarian crisis.
