The three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan begins today. The first match of the series will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The match will start shortly. Before that both team captains Shreyas Iyer and Ibrahim Jadran have entered the field for toss. Team India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss. India chose to bowl first and invited Afghanistan to bat. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Washington Sundar have not been named in the squad for the first match. Shreyas Iyer said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Washington Sundar are not playing in today's match.

Ishan Kishan fit for first match
Ahead of the series, Ishan Kishan suffered an injury during net practice on Friday. So the question was raised whether Ishaan will play in today's match. But, the consolation is that Ishan Kishan is fit for the match and is in the final 11. Ishaan's performance of 270 and 80 in the final of the Duleep Trophy will be the focus of all eyes.
