Skipper Shreyas Iyer dropped Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sanju Samson to play today. But with only 10 runs, Sanju Samson returned to the pavilion and disappointed the fans once again. But from the beginning, Abhishek Sharma kept a firm grip on the match and did not let the Afghanistan bowlers raise their heads at all.
After the departure of Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan came into the field and after Abhishek, Ishan Kishan was seen batting aggressively. Both the left handed batsmen played aggressively and brought fun to the fans in the match. Abhishek Sharma hit fours and sixes. He scored 82 runs in just 32 balls. He literally made the Afghanistan bowlers cry. He scored as many as 26 runs in one over. After Abhishek, Ishan Kishan was also dismissed for 42 runs. Arshdeep took three wickets for India in this match. Against Afghanistan Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first in the three-match T20 international series. While the Indian captain announced during the toss that Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not named in the final 11, Jasprit Bumrah returned to the team and he too took the first wicket in the first over to give India a good start. Apart from this, Varun Chakraborty performed well.
