India vs Afghanistan Test: The Indian cricket team has tightened its grip on Afghanistan till the end of the second day’s play. The Indian team declared its innings on the second day after scoring 564 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 127 overs. After this, by the end of the second day’s play, Afghanistan had scored 113 runs in the first innings, losing 5 wickets in 39.5 overs. Afghanistan is still 451 runs behind Team India. Manav Suthar has shone on his debut match for India today.

Manav Suthar shines

In this match, Manav Suthar, who was making his international test debut for India, shone. He came to bat first. This 23-year-old left-handed batsman played an inning of 28 runs with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes in 41 balls in the lower order against Afghanistan in Mullanpur. After that, he took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 15.5 overs with the ball till the end of the day. During this period he also bowled 7 maiden overs. His line and length were quite accurate and he got a lot of turn from the wicket.

India lost wickets in the first session

Team India started playing with the score of 368 runs for 3 wickets in 85 overs on the first day. Shubman Gill 103 and Rishabh Pant 50 came to bat for Team India. India lost 3 wickets in this first session. Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 126 runs and Dhruv Jarel after scoring 19 and Rishabh Pant after scoring 81 runs. Till lunch, Team India scored 475 runs for 6 wickets in 110 overs.

Team India declared its innings in the second session. Before that, Washington Sundar played an unbeaten inning of 52 runs in 68 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Whereas Siraj contributed 22 runs for the team. India declared its innings at 564 runs for 8 wickets in 127 overs. After this Afghanistan came to bat and lost their first wicket in the form of Abdul Malik on 16 till tea time. He was dismissed by Manav Suthar. Afghanistan lost 1 wicket for 28 runs in 5.4 overs till tee.

Indian bowlers dominated in the third session

Indian bowlers dominated in the third session of the second day of this test match. Manav Suthar sent Rahmanullah Gurbaz (12) and Afsar Zazai (3) to the pavilion. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna sent Sediqullah Atal (17) and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (20) to the pavilion. By the end of the day’s play, Afghanistan had lost 5 wickets at 113.

Now the danger of follow on is also looming over him. If Team India wraps up their innings quickly then the result of the match can be known even on the third day. The full result of this match is expected on the fourth day.
