IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: England won the toss, chose to bat first; Bumrah out, 3 changes in Team India

IND vs ENG 3rd ODI Playing 11: In the decisive match of the three-match ODI series being played between India and England, England has won the toss and decided to bat first. In this match being played at Lord’s Cricket Ground, Indian captain Shubman Gill said that if the toss had gone in his favour, he would have liked to bowl first. Gill told that fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is not a part of this match due to knee injury. In his absence, there has been a change in the team combination and KL Rahul, Prince and Arshdeep Singh have been included in the playing eleven.

The Indian captain said that the team has entered the field with a plan to field four fast bowlers. On the other hand, England captain Harry Brook said that the pitch looked good for batting, so he decided to bat first. He also told that Josh Tong has returned to the team in place of Saqib Mahmood.

Lord’s pitch report

The Lord’s pitch is known to provide good support to fast bowlers in the initial overs. The new ball is likely to provide swing and seam movement, while batting may become more challenging as the match progresses. The interesting statistic is that after 2017, no team has been able to register a win by successfully chasing the target in ODI at Lord’s, due to which the decision to bat first is considered important.

Eyes will be on Gill and Kohli

Indian captain Shubman Gill has made a good start in the series, but could not convert it into a big score. A big innings will be expected from him in the decisive match. Whereas Virat Kohli is in great form. In the last match, he had come close to a century, but Joffra Archer ended his innings. In such a situation, once again the biggest responsibility of Indian batting will rest on the shoulders of Kohli.
