IND vs ENG: Sunil Gavaskar angry over the drop of 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, scolded the team management

IND vs ENG: Team India had failed in the first 4 T-20 matches against England. Due to which the team lost the series 0-3. The last match of the series was played on 11 July in Southampton. Where Team India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Meanwhile, captain Shreyas Iyer told that 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been dropped from the playing 11. Veteran Sunil Gavaskar is not at all happy with this decision. He has slammed the Indian team management.

Sunil Gavaskar is angry with Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s drop.

In the second match of the T20 series against England, head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shreyas Iyer gave 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi a chance to make his international debut. After which Vaibhav could not play well in 3 innings. After which the team management showed him the way out. Angered by this, veteran Sunil Gavaskar said in Sony Sports show, ‘The special thing about opening batsmen is that they can bat down the field in white ball cricket also. He has shown his talent. If this was a do-or-die match, I would have agreed with the decision of playing an experienced player, but this match should not have any impact on the outcome of the series. I think we missed an opportunity.

So, they selected Vaibhav Suryavanshi at cost of their POTT player Sanju Samson, gave him 3 games & destroyed his confidence too.

Sunil Gavaskar is worried about this

Veteran Sunil Gavaskar believes that Vaibhav Suryavanshi will have to be taken care of after being out of the team. About which he said, ‘I hope someone will put a hand on his shoulder and tell him that this is not the end. I think it is a bit difficult decision to drop a 15-year-old player after just three matches. However, Suryavanshi can be seen playing in the next T-20 match. Actually, Team India is going to play the next T-20 series against Zimbabwe. Where Sanju Samson is not there, Vaibhav can become a part of the playing 11. There, Vaibhav can be given a chance in all three matches.
