Who is Hasan Nawaz: A fierce competition was seen between India and Pakistan in the gold medal match of Asian Games 2026. For Pakistan, Hasan Nawaz played such an inning, which at one time raised hopes of changing the course of the match. This batsman defeated the Indian bowlers and scored 96 runs in just 51 balls. His innings included 5 fours and 7 sixes. His strike rate was 188.23. But he could not finish the match and was out.

When other batsmen of Pakistan seemed under pressure, Hasan Nawaz took charge alone. He continuously hit big shots and tried to push the Indian bowlers on the backfoot. Seeing his batting, it seemed that he could get Pakistan out of the difficult situation. Nawaz did not give up till the end, but he was caught out by Sanju Samson on the last ball of the innings. The journey started with tape ball cricket

Hasan Nawaz’s journey to reach cricket has not been easy. He was born near Laiya in South Punjab, where there were not many facilities for playing cricket. He initially played tape ball cricket in his town. After this, he went to Islamabad on the pretext of studies, where his sister helped him pursue his cricket career. At the age of just 14, Nawaz started playing club cricket by joining Lashings Cricket Club of Islamabad.

Played in Under 19 team

He participated in the Islamabad Cricket Association League for many years. Later he joined Lucky Star Cricket Club. On the basis of his performance, he got a place in the ICA Under-19 team and then after consistently good performance in domestic cricket, he got a chance to play in the Kashmir Premier League in 2022.

Scored a stormy century against New Zealand

In March 2025, Hasan Nawaz was selected in Pakistan’s international team for the first time. He made his T20 International debut against New Zealand on 16 March. A few days later, he created a stir by scoring unbeaten 105 runs in just 45 balls in the third T20 match. He became the youngest Pakistani batsman to score a T20 International century. He batted in the same aggressive style in the final of the Asian Games also.
