In the third and final match of the three-match T20 series between India and Zimbabwe, Team India crushed Zimbabwe by 35 runs. India beat Zimbabwe to score a hat-trick of victories and complete a clean sweep of Zimbabwe. India won the toss and elected to bat first and challenged Zimbabwe to bowl. On the strength of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s half-century, the Indian team scored 192 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe could only manage 156 runs in 20 overs. This is India’s first T20 series win under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. Earlier, India lost to Ireland and England under his captaincy.

India made a clean sweep of Zimbabwe

Batting first, the Indian team got off to a disappointing start once again. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just 2 runs off the bowling of Blessing Muzarbani. After this, Ishan Kishan, who came to bat, added 75 runs with Vaibhav Suryavanshi for the second wicket. Sikandar Raza dismissed Ishan Kishan in the 11th over and India lost their second wicket. Ishan Kishan scored 29 runs in 28 balls with the help of four fours. India’s third wicket fell in the form of Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the 15th over. Vaibhav Suryavanshi who was on his way to a century was dismissed by Wesley Madhavare. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 81 runs off 49 balls with eight fours and four sixes. Skipper Shreyas Iyer was dismissed on the very first ball of the 18th over by Brad Evans. Shreyas Iyer scored 27 runs in 18 balls with the help of two fours. Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 11 runs, while Rinku Singh was caught on the last ball of the innings. Rinku Singh scored 25 runs in 14 balls with the help of two fours and a six. India scored 192 runs after losing five wickets in 20 overs.

Zimbabwe were bowled out for 156 runs

Zimbabwe’s batting was poor in chasing the target, but Ryan Burl produced a strong half-century. But even his half-century could not win the team. Burl remained unbeaten on 54 off 43 balls with five fours. Wesley Madhevere scored 28 runs while Ben Curran scored 20 runs. Mayank Yadav took three wickets and Yash Thakur took two wickets for India. Ashok Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each. Zimbabwe could manage only 157 runs in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. India completed a 3-0 clean sweep over Zimbabwe.
