Smriti Mandhana-Shefali Verma’s century partnership

Indian team, who came to bat first after losing the toss, got an aggressive start by vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma. Both the batsmen batted explosively and took care of the Dutch bowlers and made a century partnership of 115 runs for the first wicket in just 11.4 overs. Shefali hit tremendous shots all around the field and played a stormy innings of 55 runs in just 38 balls with the help of 10 fours.

Smriti played a stormy innings

At the same time, Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana also held the lead at the other end and batted brilliantly. Smriti played a stormy inning of 74 runs in 47 balls against Netherlands. His innings included 11 fours and 1 skyscraper six. This is Mandhana’s second consecutive fifty in the T20 World Cup 2026. Earlier, he had batted brilliantly and played a half-century inning of 68 runs against Pakistan.

Made third highest score

In this match, the Indian team has not only scored more than 200 runs for the first time, but it has also become the third highest score so far in the history of Women’s T20 World Cup. Earlier in this tournament, England had made a huge score of 219 runs against Bangladesh on 12 June. Which is the biggest score till date. Earlier in the 2023 World Cup, England had scored 213 runs against Pakistan.
