IND W vs SL W: The final match of ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2026 was played between the Indian women’s cricket team and Sri Lanka. After registering a win at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Team India decided to bat first. Where the Indian women’s cricket team performed brilliantly and scored 183 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka women’s cricket team scored only 111 runs after losing all the wickets in 20 overs. By winning by 72 runs, Team India has become the champion of Women’s Asia Cup for a record 8th time.

Team India scored a mountain like score

Indian women’s cricket team got a very good start after winning the toss and coming to bat first. Opener Shefali Verma played a brilliant inning of 68 runs in 39 balls. Batting at a strike rate of 174.36, Shefali hit 9 fours and 2 sixes. Supporting him, India’s superstar batsman Smriti Mandhana also played 39 balls and scored an important 59 runs. Mandhana batted at a strike rate of 151.28 and hit 5 fours and 3 skyscraper sixes.

After which captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 14 runs, while wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh also added 17 runs. In the end G Kamalini scored unbeaten 15 runs in 5 balls. Due to which Team India scored 183 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Sri Lanka, Mithali Ayodhya, Chamudi Praboda and captain Chamari Atapattu took 1 wicket each. Due to slow batting in the middle overs, Team India could not cross the 200-run mark in the final match.

Indian team won the Asia Cup title for the 8th time

The Sri Lankan women’s cricket team, which set out to chase the target of 184 runs, did not get a good start. Imesha Dulani returned to the pavilion after scoring only 4 runs. After which captain Chamari Atapattu played an important inning of 36 runs. Vishmi Gunaratne also played an inning of 20 runs. But both of them batted slowly. Due to which the team suffered a big loss. After which Neelakshika Silva also scored 22 runs in the end.

However, even after that, the Sri Lankan team could score only 111 runs after losing all 10 wickets in 20 overs. Sri Lanka women’s cricket team lost the match by 72 runs. Shri Charani took 4 wickets for the Indian women’s cricket team. Deepti Sharma also took 3 wickets in her name. Apart from this, Kranti Gaur, Shefali Verma and Prema Rawat also got 1 success each. With this, Team India has won the Women’s Asia Cup title for the 8th time.
