Inside Navarrette may have delivered one of the year’s most unsettling horror performances in Obsession. But even the actor has trouble watching some of the film’s most disturbing moments.
During a conversation with AllureNavarrette pointed at one particular sequence as the scariest part of Curry Barker’s supernatural horror movie.
“This is the scariest part of the film. I refuse to watch this scene, so I was looking at the corner … I was like, ‘I know what we’re talking about,’” Navarrette said while watching the sequence.
The scene takes place when Bear, played by Michael Johnston, wakes up to find Nikki standing over him in the middle of the night. She slowly retreats into the dark corners of the bedroom, crying and questioning whether Bear loves her. Her behavior becomes increasingly unnatural as the supernatural wish that forced her to love him takes its toll.
