In the final, India A, batting first, gave a target of 377 runs to Sri Lanka A. Chasing that, Sri Lanka A needed a big innings from at least one of their top-order batsmen, but that did not happen. No batsman was able to convert a good start into a match-winning innings. The match tilted decisively in India’s favor when Yash Thakur dismissed Sri Lanka’s top three batsmen in the first powerplay. Sadira Samarawickrama and Vanuza Sahan scored half-centuries and kept the required run rate under control, but Sri Lanka kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, their chase never gained the momentum it needed and they fell well short of the target.
