According to eyewitnesses, everyone was sleeping and no one had any idea what was happening. When the smoke spread throughout the building and people started suffocating, they realized the danger. He told that people left their household items and ran outside without wearing slippers. There were cries for help everywhere and there was an atmosphere of chaos.

He said that later the local people came forward to help, alerted others, called and informed the emergency services. After this, fire brigade and other relief teams reached the spot and people were evacuated safely.
