India beat West Indies by 14 runs in the third T20, ultimately the total was defended.

The third match of the 5-match T20 series between India and West Indies was played at Holkar Stadium, Indore, in which Team India won by 14 runs and took a 2-1 lead in the series. When invited to bat first, the Indian team was all out after scoring 223 runs in 20 overs. At that time it seemed that a little less runs had been scored but the bowlers did not make the Ranchi mistake and kept the Caribbean team at a score of 209/1 by taking wickets at regular intervals. In this way, for the first time in the ongoing white-ball series between India and West Indies, a team defended its total.

Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets

Left arm fast bowler Arshdeep gave a big success by clean bowling Shai Hope (5) in his very first over. West Indies captain Hope was continuously playing big innings. In such a situation, getting his wicket early was a big relief for Team India. In the next over, Mayank Yadav almost dismissed Shamron Hetmyer but Abhishek Sharma was caught at short third. Hetmyer was on a personal score of 5 runs at that time. Giving him life could have been costly but Naman Dheer gave Team India its second success by clean bowling him in the seventh over. Hetmyer returned to the pavilion after scoring 43 runs in 26 balls.

Akshar Patel took the wicket of Rovman Powell (5) in the 10th over. Kamil Puran showed aggression after taking time but he also became the victim of Naman Dheer. This was followed by a short partnership between Quentin Sampson and Sherfane Rutherford, which raised the concern of Indian captain Shreyas Iyer. Nitish Kumar Reddy broke this pair by taking the wicket of Sampson (21). Half of the West Indies team was reduced to 151 but its hopes were pinned on Rutherford. Arshdeep, who came in the 17th over, destroyed the remaining hopes of the Caribbean team by sending Keemo Paul (10) and Rutherford to the pavilion in the first three balls.

India's batting was like this

After the early dismissal of Sanju Samson (3), Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan made a explosive partnership of 108 runs but as soon as the pair broke, there was a flurry of wickets. Team India's score increased from 115/1 to 135/5. Ishan Kishan returned to the pavilion after scoring 37 runs in 18 balls. He hit 6 fours and 1 six. Abhishek Sharma played an inning of 69 runs in 30 balls, which included 6 fours and 5 sixes.

Axar Patel (20), Arshdeep Singh (11) and Prince Yadav (13) scored valuable runs in the last overs, which proved to be decisive in the end of the match.
