New Delhi. India's Foreign Minister S. in New York during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81). Jaishankar (S. Jaishankar) participated in the first high-level meeting organized in the format of Visegrad Group (V4) and India. Apart from this, he also met Slovakia's Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar, who supported India's permanent membership in UNSC.
Jaishankar termed the V4 meeting as a historic opportunity. He said, 'This was a new historical opportunity. I want to thank Minister Juraj for inviting us today. This was a very productive meeting.
He said that we have decided that as India's relations with the EU are deepening, we will create an annual business forum with the V4 and hold meetings every year at the level of foreign ministers.

Brainstorming on defence, technology and global issues
Jaishankar said that India has a strong history in the field of defense with the V4 countries and he wants to take this cooperation forward. Space, technology, connectivity, education and movement between people were also discussed in the meeting. Apart from this, discussions were also held on major global crises like Ukraine conflict and the situation in the Gulf.
Jaishankar also held an important meeting with Slovakia's Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar on the sidelines of the V4 meeting. After this, Jaishankar wrote on social media, 'It was a great pleasure to meet Slovakia's Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar today. Apart from discussing our bilateral agenda, we also talked about ways to deepen our multilateral cooperation.
India's support in the United Nations Security Council
After the first meeting of V4+India Foreign Ministers, Slovakia's Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar also gave a big statement. He said, 'All of us V4 countries agree that India, as part of the Global South and an emerging superpower in the Indo-Pacific region, should be at the table as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.'
