India is committed to clean and fair sports: Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya
New Delhi, 16 April 2026: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today said that India is fully committed to clean and fair sports and strengthening anti-doping cooperation globally.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the final conference of the Global Anti-Doping Intelligence and Investigation Network of the World Anti-Doping Agency-WADA in New Delhi, he said that India has made proactive improvements towards compliance, which shows a true commitment to the integrity of sport.
He said that the National Anti-Doping Agency is continuously working to create awareness through workshops, seminars and digital campaigns. Special education modules have also been developed for disabled players. Dr. Mandaviya also said that the number of doping tests has increased from 4,000 to 8,000.
