Just two days ago, US President Donald Trump also talked with PM Modi about West Asia and the Sea of Hormuz.
Modi gave this information in a post on social media after a conversation with his friend Macron. He wrote on X, ‘A call came from my dear friend President Emmanuel Macron. America has laid siege to Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz
It is noteworthy that after the failure of peace talks with Iran, America has blockaded Iran’s ports in the Strait of Hormuz, so that ships cannot enter these ports. America says that it has taken this step with the aim of opening the Strait of Hormuz to everyone.
It should be noted that after the joint attacks by America and Israel on Iran, Iran is obstructing the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, due to which the energy supply across the world has been affected.
Macron called for opening the Strait of Hormuz
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron had urged US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to resume talks and unconditionally open the Sea of Hormuz. Macron also spoke to these two leaders on phone and said that the stalled talks in Islamabad should be restarted, misunderstandings should be resolved and tension in the region should be prevented from increasing. He stressed that the ceasefire should also include the Israel-Lebanon conflict and that the Strait of Hormuz should be fully opened so that global navigation can normalize.
