New Delhi
The craze of cricket match between India and Pakistan is being seen once again. In next year’s ODI World Cup, both the teams will face each other on October 10, but there is already a huge demand for tickets to watch this match. According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), about 84 lakh applications have been received for tickets for this match. The special thing is that even for the World Cup final, fewer ticket requests have been received.
84 lakh applications for 34 thousand seats
The match between India and Pakistan will be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Only about 34 thousand spectators can sit in this stadium at a time, whereas more than 84 lakh applications have been received for tickets. That means, many times more people are willing to watch the match than the capacity of the stadium. Interestingly, the World Cup final will also be played on this ground. About 80 lakh applications have been received for its tickets.
According to ICC, fans from about 193 countries have applied for tickets. Till now, more than 12 crore ticket requests have been received for the entire tournament. The process of applying for tickets will continue till November 21.
India-Pakistan may clash more than once
In the World Cup 2027, both the teams may come face to face more than once. If India and Pakistan reach the Super 7 stage, then they can compete there for the second time. At the same time, if both the teams reach the final, they will get a chance to face each other for the third time. That means fans can get to see more than one match between India and Pakistan in this tournament.
