According to the latest forecast released by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) of the American Meteorological Organization (NOA), the current neutral (India Rain) condition may soon convert to ‘El Nino’. According to the CPC report, the sea surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean has increased for the fifth consecutive month. There is an 82 percent chance of ‘El Nino’ ​​becoming active in June, and it is highly likely that this situation will continue. It has been mentioned that the probability of ‘El Nino’ ​​continuing from December 2026 to February 2027 has reached 96 percent.

Also due to the atmospheric vapor being pulled towards the east, there may be less than average rainfall during the monsoon season.

This year’s ‘El Nino’ ​​could be the strongest in history, the European weather model had predicted. However, the CPC’s latest estimates have expressed some skepticism about its intensity. During November-December the ocean temperature may be 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius above average. Weak in June-July, moderate in August-September, strong or very strong ‘El Nino’ ​​is predicted after October.
