Harmanpreet Kaur statement: Indian women’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh women’s cricket team by 5 wickets in the do-or-die match of ICC T20 Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. In the 23rd match of the tournament held on Thursday, Bangladesh, batting first, scored 136 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. The Indian team scored 139 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 16.4 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. With this, the hopes of the Indian cricket team to reach the semi-finals remain intact.

Harmanpreet Kaur said, ‘This is a good victory. This is what we were expecting and it’s good that we thought we would finish a little early. Still I think when we finished the game there were still two-three overs left. So I think this is a plus point for us. There are a lot of things, but I think fielding is something that we are working very hard on, but unfortunately today again we were not very good with the catches and hopefully the next game is very important and I think that is the day to show our best cricket.

Harmanpreet Kaur further said, ‘He is our best fielder, but sometimes the situation is like this. You can’t really control them, but we just talked about let’s keep working hard, keep spending a lot of time on the field, keep catching those balls so that when we go on the field, we are in good position but unfortunately today again we fumbled a lot of balls, but I think the next match is a very important match and I am sure our best will come that day.

Harmanpreet Kau said, ‘This is our favorite opponent team and we hope that our best will come on that day. We know these two tournaments and it is important to win every game and sometimes when things don’t go your way, you have to give your best and I think that game is very important and if we win it, we will definitely get a lot of confidence from it. I think the last win against them in Navi Mumbai has given us a lot of confidence and has broken a lot of barriers and hopefully we will play our best cricket that day.
