India thrashes Bangladesh and moves closer to semi-finals, havoc for Radha-Shefali
In the 23rd match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, India defeated Bangladesh by five wickets. In this match played in Manchester, Bangladesh, batting first, scored 136 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the score, India won the match with 19 balls remaining. For India, Shefali Verma scored the maximum 53 runs while scoring a half-century.
Apart from Shefali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues 26 and Yastika Bhatia played important innings of 23 runs for India. Star player Smriti Mandhana returned to the pavilion after scoring 8 runs. Whereas, Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten after scoring 13 runs. Ritu Moni took two wickets for Bangladesh.

For Bangladesh, Zuairiya Firdous contributed 33 runs while captain Nigar Sultana contributed 32 runs and Sobhana Mostari contributed 22 runs. Apart from this, no player of Bangladesh could show any special impact. For India, Radha Yadav took three wickets and Shri Charani took two wickets.
Who won the toss?
Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana won the toss and decided to bat first against India in the Group A match of the Women’s T20 World Cup on Thursday. India included Radha Yadav and Renuka Thakur in the playing eleven in place of Prema Yadav and Arundhati Reddy.
Let us tell you that this is India’s third victory in the T20 World Cup 2026. The team’s final match is to be against Australia. With this victory, India has reached the semi-finals.
