Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket tournament is set for an exciting finale as India have set up a meeting with Pakistan. The Men in Blue, led by Shreyas Iyersecured an easy win in the second semi-final game on Thursday afternoon.
Chasing 170 to win, Sri Lanka got off to the worst possible start. Sineth Jayawardena was out for a second-ball duck to jasprit bumrah. On the fifth ball of the same over, Sohan de Livera was caught behind by Sanju Samson to give the 32-year-old his second wicket.

Lasith Croospulle was the third batter to be dismissed for a duck. In the fourth over, Axar Patel struck twice in the space of four balls. He first dismissed Sahan Arachchige for nine and then had Ashen Bandara caught by Washington Sundar for a duck.
Fernando tried to put up a fight and hit two sixes before he was run out. At the end of five overs, the Lankans were reeling at 31 for the loss of six wickets. They were seven down when Sundar got his first scalp, dismissing Wanuja Sahan.
Tharindu Rathnayake was the third player to be run out for five runs. Abhishek ended the innings when he claimed the wickets of Chamika Karunaratne and Binura Fernando. Sri Lanka were all out for 45, with India winning the game by 124 runs.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave India a good start with the bat despite losing Abhishek and Samson for seven runs each. The southpaw cantered to 38 runs from 21 balls and kept the pressure on the Lankan bowlers.
Ishan Kishan amassed an unbeaten 80 runs off 46 balls. The left-handed batter hit four boundaries and five sixes during the course of his knock. Shreyas Iyer managed 13 runs and was one of three batters to reach double figures on a wicket that has something for the bowlers.
